EAST GWILLIMBURY OPERATIONS CENTRE

October 15, 2021

East Gwillimbury, ON

Net Zero Water supplied the well water pump and treatment system, along with a booster pump system, for the Town of East Gwillimbury’s operations centre.

This impressive 57,000 square-foot facility will support critical town infrastructure and core services such as roads, fleet, water and wastewater, parks, emergency services training and emergency operations.

The facility will support over 120 full-time and seasonal staff throughout the year and features many environmental and energy-efficient initiatives such as electronic vehicle charging stations.

Highlights

  • Houses over 120 full-time and seasonal staff.
  • Well system for a maximum treatment flow rate of 8gpm stored in a 1,000 US gallon day tank to meet a maximum design capacity of 100gpm.

Solution

With no municipal water infrastructure available, Net Zero Water needed to use well water as a source of potable water for the building.

Accordingly, Net Zero Water designed a system for the facility that fit its potable water use needs. To avoid needing a permit to deliver the facility’s water, Net Zero Water developed a well system for a maximum treatment flow rate of 8gpm stored in a 1,000 US gallon day tank to meet a maximum design capacity of 100gpm. The day tank water is boosted with booster pumps and polished with a final disinfection system before distribution to the potable water system.

Additional Opportunity

As part of all Net Zero Water’s turn-key solutions, system commissioning, testing and training are included in the purchase of the system to ensure system operation and reliability for years to come.
